IWRP Progress To Date

As of July 2004:

• Secured a $4.5 million grant from the Coastal
Conservancy for Phase 1.

• Set up the administrative infrastructure to
manage ~100 Phase 1 projects.

• Hosted a public meeting explaining the purposes
of IWRP (February 2004).

• Began development of the IWRP website
(www.iwrp.sccrcd.org) and mailing lists.

• Held an inter-agency meeting and built support
for IWRP among agencies.

• Developed the IWRP Design & Permitting
Coordination Process and technical advisory
committee.

• Hired a Design & Permitting Coordinator as
a single-point-of-contact for project leads
and agencies.

• Produced the IWRP Design & Permitting Coordination
Process Guidelines Manual

• Identified the first batch of design projects and developed
contracts and work programs.

• Organized inter-agency site visits to the first batch of
design projects.

• Hosted an orientation workshop for design project
leads.

• Established a technical advisory committee for the
Comparative Lagoon Ecological Assessment Project and
completed preliminary data collection.

• Established a technical advisory committee for the Watershed
Activity and Resource Guide and developed a
detailed concept paper.

• Produced the first issue of Confluence, the IWRP Progress Report.
